Northwest Credit Card Association Hold Annual Meeting

(AllPayNews.com) - The Northwest Credit Card Association held their annual meeting on September 28th and 29th at the Surfsand Resort at Cannon Beach, OR. A full contingent of members was in attendance representing card issuers and acquirers from Financial Institutions across the Northwest States. Attendee's had the opportunity to hear from Visa's Josh Davenport in regard to Risk Management, Jim Ballagh from Ensenta and Barry Smith BFS in regard to Fraud.

Membership re-elected the following individuals to board positions; Keith Thompson from TIB-The Independent Bankers Bank, Kim Robertson from Washington State Employees Credit Union “Association Secretary” and David Stevens from PSCU Financial Services. rejoining the existing board team of Diana Hickman from Spokane Teachers Credit Union and “Association President”, Betsy Steinberg from Pioneer Trust Bank and “Association Vice President”, Bobbi Brown from Rivermark Community Credit Union and “Association Treasurer”, Mary Nyman from Co-op Financial Services and Stephen Prince from Merchante-Solutions.

The Northwest Card Association’s Mission is to provide Networking for our Northwest Financial Institution and Service Provider Members, sharing Credit Card (Issuing & Acquiring), PIN and Signature Debit Card, and ATM Hardware Management information and best practices in a friendly, neutral forum.
The Membership consists of:
General Members - any depository financial institution doing bankcard business (Issuing and or Acquiring) within the Northwest - this includes: Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho & Hawaii
Associate members - any vendor or company issuing, acquiring/processing or directly involved in the bankcard industry that sells bankcard industry related products or services to the general membership
Networking:
Networking is very important in the card industry. At the NWCA quarterly meetings, you meet and vigorously interact with other card service professionals from throughout the Northwest.
Topics & Speakers
All meetings have an educational agenda published in advance and distributed to the membership. Requested topics for presentation and suggested speakers are always welcome from the membership.
